Coach Dear enters his first year as the Head Cross Country/Distance coach at Clackamas.  His first season yielded one NWAC All-American during the cross country season who also ran the second fastest 6,000 meter time in school history.  The men’s and women’s programs also grew in numbers from the previous couple of seasons which helped the majority of them to have lifetime bests in their respective distances.

He came to Clackamas in the fall of 2020 and competed in cross country and track and field before transferring to Western Oregon University and competed for two years there.  He earned first team All-NWAC Southern Region in cross country.  Rami also placed second in the 1500 at the NWAC Southern Region Championship and fourth place at the NWAC Championship.  While at WOU, he competed in the GNAC Indoor Championship in the 800.  Coach Dear also worked hard in the classroom earning the GNAC FAR Scholar Athlete and All-Academic two years in a row.

Staying competitive Rami competes for Los Lobos Track Club and recently placed twenty-seventh at the 2025 USATF XC 2K Championship.  This is all being done while a full-time masters student majoring in business administration at Willamette University.
