Bio

Josh Reyes is entering his fourth year on the coaching staff at Clackamas Community College, where he has been instrumental in the program’s continued success. During his time at Clackamas, Reyes has helped produce 25 NJCAA All-Americans, 6 individual National Champions, a 2022 NJCAA National Team Title, 2 NJCAA National Dual Team Titles, and three Region 18 Conference Championships. He also contributed to team finishes of 4th at the 2024 NJCAA National Championship and National Runner-Up in 2025.

A product of the Portland wrestling community, Reyes began competing at the David Douglas Mat Club at age 10 before joining the USA Cobra School of Wrestling at 12. He enjoyed a decorated high school career, wrestling for both David Douglas High School and Parkrose High School. He was a 5-time Triple Crown winner, 3-time OSAA state champion, and compiled a career record of 148-3. Nationally, he was the 2012 NHSCA Sophomore Nationals runner-up, 2014 NHSCA Senior Nationals runner-up, and the 2014 U.S. Open Junior National Champion.

After high school, Reyes wrestled at Boise State University before transferring to Clackamas Community College, where he won the 2017 NJCAA National Championship at 149 lbs with a 31-1 record under coach Josh Rhoden. He later transferred to Oregon State University, compiling a 19-16 record and placing 3rd at the 2018 Pac-12 Championships. Reyes also excelled in freestyle, earning U.S. Freestyle Nationals All-American honors in 2018 (70 kg) and again in 2023 at the U.S. Open.

Reyes completed his Bachelor’s degree in Sociology and Business at Oregon State and began his coaching career as a Graduate Assistant for the Beavers before joining the Clackamas staff.
