CCC Women's Basketball Season Ends with an NWAC Elite Eight Run, Coleman and Miller lead a group of four Cougars with All-Region Honors
The Cougars went 21-9 (11-5 in the SR) and were ranked in the top 6 in the Northwest all season long. The season ended with a quarter-final loss to the eventual NWAC Champions the Walla Walla Warriors. This was the Cougars 18th trip to the Elite Eight.
Sophomore Guard Toni Coleman and Freshman Guard Mollie Miller were both named 1st Team All-Southern Region. Coleman, who broke the school record with 136 steals, was also named the Southern Region Defensive Player of the Year. Miller, who led the Cougars in scoring this season AND had a career high 44 points in the Cougars round of 16 win over the Skagit Valley Cardinals, was also named Freshman of the Year for the Southern Region.
